person centred therapies

After having reread 'postmodern collaborative and person centred therapies what would Carl Rogers say?' I am more and more pushed to his way of thinking. As counsellors in my opinion well to copy rogers, that is, it is important for us to ' free the individuals to find their inner wisdom and confidence, and they will make increasingly healthier and more constructive choices. Human beings are subjective and even these days too often a government society or learning system tries to put people into boxes to define and therefore presume to help them. I have been thinking how important it is for us to meet with clients over a very long period in order for us to work with them to progress. ' postmodern' invites us to an ongoing sceptical attitude towards the nature and meaning of knowledge. Including its certainty and power'. this is from p.344 of the article. We should always remember we won't know it all! I hope this gets posted my last tries didnt seem to work Lord jurg.
